Hello folks!!

As you all must well know from reading our last blog….we are in the middle of a three part chic gamine update blog-o-rama series formally titled updatefest 08′!!

you are now entering updation in the nation…are you prepared?!

first of all i would like to just put it out there that i realize “updation” is not a “real” word. minor formalities here.

secondly..let’s get this blog started shall we?

POINT TWO: September/October what the heck

After the summer…were you left asking yourself…

“what the heck is chic gamine doing with their time right now if they aren’t here updating me about their lives?”

well that’s a very valuable and well recieved question and here are the answers i have for you…After the summer concluded…we chic ladies (minus our lovely gent) whisked ourselves away on a little song writing retreat to wrap up the festival season in style. We went up to Andrina’s family fishing lodge (Aikens Lake Fishing Lodge) and surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the north,we jammed,penned some new material and when we weren’t doing that we kicked our feet up and reflected on a great summer passed.
WE ALSO had bonfires, played some scrabble,looked up horrible nineties pop music on youtube AND most importantly went fishing. To top it all off some of the wonderful young man staff at the lodge prepared a supper on the shore so we could eat some of our catch. It was amazing…relaxing… and so very toe-toe-totally needed.
I (alexa) caught my first fish and was so overwelmed/overstimulated by the event i nearly fell off the barge we were on. My “look at my huge fish right after i caught it” picture has me so “verklempt” i ended up looking like the swedish chef from the muppets…suffice it to say that picture will not be hitting the cover of people anytime soon…or this website.

MOVING ON...Aikens Lake Fishing Lodge treated us kindly..very very kindly!
After about a week of writing retreat bliss,we chics scattered to our seperate corners of Canada for some time off.
Also in other news…Andrina made the move to Montreal at the beginning of October (hip-hip-horay for uhauls!) making the band ratio of winnipeg members:montreal members a solid 2:3 standing.

What else did sept/oct bring?
-well for one,we launched our new website: www.chicgamine.com..take a look around!!
-we respectively voted during the october prime ministers election.
-we thought about our lovely fans and how much we love them and their beautiful faces.

-we ALSO blasted off to do some shows in Edmonds and Kent…both cities in Washington State,U.S.A.
We had a blast there and for all of you that made it out..thanks so much for coming!!
We would love to hear feedback, comments, questions, pictures, love…we’re not as much interested in the “not love” but we’ll hear it if yous gots to say it!

Basically we would just love to hear from you and see how you’re doing!
